"My Pet My Family" event by AVA and Clubpets with The Pets Couture

Posted by Auto API on

An event by AVA (Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore) and their main event partner Clubpets, My Pet My Family held on 31 October at Marina Barrage. We are honoured to be one of their event sponsor and also took part as a vendor. Promoting responsible pet ownership in Singapore is always an on-going effort by AVA. While trying to reduce the number of pet abandonment cases, there is also a need to promote pet adoption, where would the poor dogs and cats go after they were rescued after being abandoned? And the stray dogs and cats also need to be protected in our urban jungle. After all in the urban Singapore, this is no natural and safe habitat that animals belong. So during this event, many animal charity organisations came together to do their part in educating, creating awareness and held adoption drive.

One of highlights, busy preparing all the beautiful mongrels with my designs back stage. They were dressed up to welcome the Guest of Honor- Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister of National Development at the entrance of the event and receive certificates with their representatives on stage.

I always love a little chat with these majestic mongrels before I dress them up, their gentle persona always draws me to them. For every shelter dogs that I met, I pray that you find a loving home that you should deserve.

Its always feels great to meet up with old friends and our ever supportive customers at pet events. We love to share our little stories about our pets. Especially Laura (picture on the right), who specially pop by to catch up after a long while. She adopted a rescued kitten from us years back and that kitten is a big girl now, showered with lots of love from Laura and her husband.

And our fun loving team enjoying themselves and Minister Lawrence Wong drop by our store to check out Singapore's very own designer hand-made pet accessories.

There is no other better way to wrap up this meaningful event with a big hug to the lady in the dog suit for SPCA donation drive.

We look forward to more of such events that spreads love to animals.
